Detail Description
A very interesting broadside promoting Viriline and Fertiline, two highly controversial drugs which were first produced by Dr Weiss in 1930 ostensibly to help infertile men and women. The poster has an ink stamp of ‘S Ben-Amram’ on it, probably the local distributor in Palestine. The contents of the broadside give a brief outline of the ‘discoveries’ and theories of leading experts in the field over the previous 50 years, including the controversial views of Dr Charles Edward Brown-Sequard (1817-1894). The broadside also claims that the drugs were based in part on the research of the German Jewish physician Dr Magnus Hirschfeld (1868-1935), a highly controversial individual.
